S-C-A-M

Got a call from an employment agency today, asking if I was interested in their services. They told me that they primarily work with entry-level associates and send out resumes to law firms throughout the nation. After describing their services to me, they quickly asked, "So can I place your resume into our system and start helping you find a job right away?"

Ummmm, no. I may be desperate for a job, but I'm not stupid. So, I asked if there were any fees associated with their "amazing" services. The man hesitated, sighed, and responded, "Yes, $2 for every resume sent." I laughed and hung up the phone.

WTF? These companies are disgustingly taking advantage of poor graduates. People, I know it's tough out there right now, but please don't fall for these scams. Always ask for more details, and have some hope.

It will get better, and you will find that amazing job you always wanted. Don't give up.
